So, what’s the big deal about monthly giving?

• The average monthly donor gives for 5 to 7 years 
• Monthly donors are more likely than other donors to leave a legacy gift 
• The average legacy gift in the U.S. is $78,630 according to a "Survey of Wills From Everyday People," published by the Chronicle of Philanthropy
• The U.S. average monthly gift is $51 for credit cards ($612 yearly) and $60 for EFT ($720 yearly)

To build, launch and scale a successful monthly giving program, you should first: 

• Develop a written plan and a timeline
• Brand your monthly giving program
• Determine suggested monthly gift amounts
• Identify appeal channels (e.g., direct mail, email, etc.)
• Create a custom, branded landing page on your website
